however shorter intense cardio ups metabolism by a larger coefficient and that boost is maintained for longer in the day resulting in more fat being burned through High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that its name so that you can search if you don’t believe me
muscle is only broken down for energy(catabolism) when there is to little carbs or fat in your diet. If you are trying to gain muscle I suggest cutting carbs, raising your fat intake as well as your protein and doing low intensity cardio such as jogging at low speeds or doing a treadclimber or something. Low intensity cardio does not burn glycogen but rather fat and pumps more oxygen into your muscles which is crucial for muscle growth(hypertrophy). Just keep eating and lifting and youll be fine
wrong, carbs, which are turned into glycogen for energy, is a powerful energy source which is primarily used for high intensity exercise, power/olympic lifting, sprinting, intense sports etc. For a normal semi-active person most of the glycogen goes unused and is stored as fat. The second source of energy is fat, while inefficient for high instensity exercise, it is the most efficient for anything else and due to its low glycemic effect, is not stored as fat nearly as much as carbs
From what Ive read about nutrition and working out. Your body uses carbs/sugar for energy, when depleted since in a high metabolism mode it takes the energy from the next fastest source, not fat but muscle.Muscle is hard to gain so when I do cardio I make sure im being fed sufficient carbs….. How is this notion wrong?
There is NO REASON not to get some exercise unless you are a quadriplegic. You should just get a physiotherapist or a personal trainer to help you exercise and find exercises that will not stress your lower back as much until it is strong enough to handle it.
Great words Doc. Helps for a good jump start. I just recently started working out 2 times a week for up to 2 hours at a time. I’ve also already started canceling out a lot of sugars in my diet. Absolutely no fast food or soda is essential. I’m paying close attention to what I eat now. It’s great to have a journal and log everything in. Right now I’m at 2 to 3 meals a day with maybe 1 or 2 small things in between. I also take in 2 to 3 liters of water a day. I’m on my way to a better me. I hope!
Check out the CD set “The Tao of Letting Go”

your life”.
Yea, I’m not trying to sell anything in my channel so the information tends to be more solid and not slanted because of a profit motive.
I personally think most of the diet systems out there are scams. People need to learn the basics of nutrition and take better care of themselves. The weight will just start to come off afterwards.
Lays it right out for you. Great video as
usual. I remember a guy who said he wanted to “lose weight for my kid and start living healthy”. His radical plan? Low calorie Aspartame, diet soda and Weight Watchers.
The result? You guessed it, he is fatter
than ever. Is this what the average American thinks is radically healthy? No, this guy
had above average intelligence.
look up “chemical imbalance” on youtube, and you will see that psychetruth’s resident psychologist has posted a lot about this. in addition most doctors do not treat the root causes of problems but only the symptoms, they do not monitor your sleeping, nutritional, or exercise habits and are in some ways part of the problem.
sorry not having a go at him was just asking a question , i have a chemical imbalance i also have multiple sclerosis and hashimotos disease and nothing has been mentioned by my doctors about sugar levels etc
well at my income level, it would take about 3 years to save that kind of money, and before the three years was up, id need it for something else like a car repair or a vet bill.
My point in asking this question in the first place was find an effect FREE way to do what I need to do that wouldn’t cause such horrible pain to my back, knees and ankles. I cant walk for 40 mins it’s too much on my joints. There MUST be something.
dr. john breeding one of the psychologists under psychetruth has many informative videos about the industry of giving drugs to people and the made up term of chemical imbalance. see all of the psychetruth videos and understand that this isn’t misinformation pushed by billion dollar industries but straightforward opinions by professionals who aren’t here to make a profit off you
Are you kiddin’ me brother. That’s a lot of stuff for under 300 bucks. You just have to save. A dollar, a dollar there and you’ll have your equipment before you know it. Then you can get started on your weight-loss program. Good luck bro. Take care. Peace.
I had to buy the olympic bar separately though. I believe it cost $40 bucks. It’s still cheap. All that stuff for under 300 bucks. It’s not expensive at all. Peace.
The best way to lose fat is to go on a vegan diet and lift weights. I’m doing it right now and it works. You will get magnificent results with this technique. Peace.

yikes! I’ve been running for about 30 mins each day and I can’t handle much more…Once you become a fat-burner, can you have intense shorter workouts?

What if you can’t exercise because of a medical condition like Degenerative disc disease, and my pscychologist told me to learn how to relax?
